What parting it out?

Was it just that the cost of the rebuild and upgrades were deemed not worth it? Gas prices? Or are you getting a GTR?

Better be getting a damn GTR!

we are at 52% of the deployment being done and im excited!!! Also Gabe, I might be moving to Austin for at least the next 3-4 years to go to UT for Green to Gold. I just got my turbo inlet in the mail and the next thing on the list is the front mount and hopefully the crawford catchcan. ;D Then after that who knows.... meth and a 20g?

That's good news. Definitely take advantage of the school. I think we could just add meth for starters.

While Keith at AWD tuning borrowed my WBO2 clamp this weekend (through Steve (Bankaiup)) and tuned a bunch of cars in Austin, Tess and I put my motor back together and got it in. Gonna start it up tonight if we can find the damn radiator cap. Lol.

Remember we have a kid too. So build time was limited to when she was seeing her grandma for a few hours and at night.

Here's some pics (more pics in my journal):

Started out Friday night when my headgasket came in:

Head is not even bolted down yet:

End of Friday night:

Saturday, starting at 1:30PM:

Yes, it easiest to get it in with the turbo on.

Also, with the leveler this way, it is pie to put it in.

End of Sat night:

Sunday around 2PM:

Go pick up our girl from grandma's at 6PM:

Done at midnight:

Thanks guys.

Javi,

Your car was a money pit from hell (and I thought mine was). Here's hoping mine starts tonight and doesn't burn oil anymore.
