| Authorized Vendor | So, one of the things that we do on a regular basis is check out products as something we think we might like to carry. Some make it, some don't. We think this one has a good shot at making it into our offerings so we thought we'd show some pics of how we're checking them out. This setup is made by PLX Devices and had sensors for boost, EGT, oil pressure, oil temp and water temp installed. One thing we were really looking for in a gauge setup for the 08 was something clean and not out in the middle of the dash. This setup allows me to get most of the info I want on one display. Clean and simple. It is also customizeable in many ways. I changed the colors of the numbers and needles to match the cluster. You can also do custom gauge faces so that you can make your own gauges with pictures or whatever. You also get conditional warning functionality that is more advanced than anthing I have ever seen. You can really do some crazy warnings with it. It will also display peak values. Down below you can see the sensor array or what we have come to call "the bomb" for obvious reasons. It looks like a wiring nightmare, but is not that bad. All of the sensor block daisy chain together with only one wire going to the gauge display. Keeps it easier this way. You can also add on additional display modules very easily if you ever wanted to see more at one time. One really cool thing about this is you can add an OBD interface to read OBD info on the normal gauge display. I am thinking of adding one of these to be able to read some items from the ECU. I went simple on the mounting. I made a small L bracket that just slips between the cluster surround pieces. It holds in place very well, looks clean, is out of the way and was very easy to do. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Authorized Vendor | It's on par with pretty much any other gauge I have installed (most that is). There have been a few people who have removed the screen from the gauge and put it in their rear view mirrors. Thought about it, but it really wasn't much in my line of sight. |

| Junior STI Driver | They have been out for quite some time, more information here: PLX Devices Inc. - Custom Digital Gauges, Wideband O2 Air Fuel Ratio, OBD 2, Data Loggers Great products, a local guy runs them. |

| Junior STI Driver | My question is. Since it is an OBII connection guage, do you have to un-plug it when you shut down the car like the AP and then plug it back in after you start the car? |

| Authorized Vendor | It is a lot of wires!!! Each sender has it's own power and ground. The small round cables you see between them are for the daisy chain connection. Then you have the actual sensor inputs. I probably spent a total of 6 hours or so installing them with taking time to be cautious about the wiring. |

Retail price for this setup is 721. Not bad considering what you get. Price per gauge is definitely less than something like a Defi setup and there is much more functionality built in. | |

| Authorized Vendor | That is just the way the AP is wired. We have units that will read off the OBD and will shut down with the car. I'm sure this one would shut down and start up with the car's ignition. |

| Junior STI Driver | From what I have seen in person you don't really see the screen cutout unless in really bright or direct sunlight conditions--it normally looks round.. |
