Default 08 sti ECM reflashed done at dealership car still hestitates

Hey guys, got my 2008 sti with 3000 miles reflashed at the dealership based on the recall letter I got for the WVE#15 issue. Overall is a little better. However, at 4000 rpms in 3rd gear expecially I feel the car would accelerate but then it would hesitate and choke a little as it goes up to the 5500 range. Any ideas how this can be fixed and could there be any damanged done to the engine?
please advise

You do not flash for each setting of the SI drive. You flash the ECU. Period. The SI drive uses the existing ECU map, whether it is stock or an OTS map from Cobb.

I wasn't aware that the recall directly addressed any hesitation, I must have misread the recall ???

I find it funny that everyone thinks it should fix all the "issues" when it specifically addresses one BIG issue and maybe lightly trys to fix the rest.

I don't know what they did at redline, but it is perfect. It just kind of hovers like a sweet angel at redline now instead of violently booting you from the redline arena.

Pick up an AP, flash stage 1, be happy. You will like your car alot better.

if you have having problems after the reflash, rest your ecu. The dealership should have done it, but like mine didnt. I drove the car for 2 weeks with it performing like crap. Rest the ecu via the battery and now the car drives amazing. Put down some decent numbers with the new tune too.
