| Professional STI Racer | If someone can figure out the wires necessary to run a boost gauge through the stereo I can do a write up on Thursday (if that is even an incentive) Does anybody know which wire goes where back there? | Professional STI Racer | 08 Harness is different from what I've heard. I've plugged the clock harness on my previous gen's but was told it's either too hard or impossible to do on the 08. Does anyone have a write-up on the clock harness? |

| Junior STI Driver | i dont know if the 08's are quite the same, but you can also try the cigarette lighter. i ran my boost gauge off that in my 07. |

I bet you are going to ask me which ones I used now, don't remember. I guess i could pull out the head unit to see if you really need it. Definitely not impossible. |

Also note that I had trouble getting a good ground from the clock so I used the headunit ground wire. For the ground wire i tapped the ground wire on the back of the head unit. The color of that wire is black/blue. ![]() For 12V i tapped the blue/red wire from the clock. ![]() For the ignition wire I tapped the brown/white wire off the clock. ![]() For the illumination wire i tapped white/purple wire off the clock. Sorry this one is hard to see. ![]() This is a pic of the defi wiring harness just as a point of reference. Orange=Ignition Red=12V White=Illumination Black=Ground ![]() and just for fun ![]() Last edited by sleepyhead; 09-16-2008 at 01:38 PM. |

Thanks for the pics you posted up. Quick question, i'm guessing you are getting a single gauge sweep with those hookups? I'm getting the dreaded double sweep with mine (once ignition on,again on startup), and need to get in there and re-wire. | |

It was acting quite shady and I had confirmed multiple times with a multimeter the ground i was using. I eventually gave up and just used the standalone ground on the head unit and it worked great.
