| Authorized Vendor | Not unless they have changed it, BUT check out the threads on nasioc about the development of the spiider dccd controller. there's all sorts of info there about how measurements were taken to develop the device. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | If I remember correctly, when I had my '05 and was having a problem with the DCCD control module, the tech connected the Subaru Select Monitor device to the OBD port and polled the DCCD controller/G-sensor for information. If you could figure out the protocol specifics (SSM protocol), it should be possible. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | looking at that wiring diagram, I don't see a phyical bus?? I thought the point of CAN bus is that all the cars "higher electronics" would be integrated onto a bus? The sensor appears to be directly wired to the DCCD. Is CAN just a protocol and the DCCD takes the info from the sensor and passes it through to a bus that is only shared with it (the DCCD), the OBD-II connector and the engine ECU? Frank |

While this is simplified as it is for the 08 WRX VDC system -- you can see the G-sensor feeds into the VDC control module as well The STI system, while probably more complicated because of user controlled CD may be similar. Last edited by method; 09-05-2008 at 12:44 PM.

| Amateur STI Driver | So that is the bus, almost looks like one if that is supposed to be shielded? I don't see shield terminations, etc. I reference Bus theory to 1553 though so it might be different. Sometimes very basic W.D's are the most confusing ones LOL. Whats with the motor? |

I'm still wondering- if the WRX VDC sensors are on the bus network, why isn't the G/yaw sensor on the STI? Method, was your image from an '07 manual? I'll have to check my manual... Frank This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad.
