| Junior STI Driver | Yeah, I know it's not on an STI, but I thought I'd share my experience non-the-less. Installed the TiC super shift set about two weeks ago and love the feel of the setup -- it did take a bit to get used to as the gears are a little closer. Before: ![]() After: ![]() More photos here: eric.r's slideshow on Flickr Kit containts: # Kartboy lever for the 2008 5MT # Kartboy 5MT front shifter stay bushing # Kartboy rear shifter stay bushing # TiC shift linkage bushings # TiC pivot bushings and some fancy TiC and Kartboy stickers. ![]() The overall height of the shifter is not much shorter than stock, but the throw is reduced by maybe half. It is pretty short now. The bushings -- as most of you know are a great addition to the shifter. The package I bought replaced all the linkage bushings. The Kartboy bushings replaced the rubber stay bushings with urethane, and the TiC bushings replaced some squishy plastic with hard urethane ones. ![]() Because I removed the entire shifter and linkage assembly I was able to take apart the cup and install the shifter pretty easily (non-brute force method) ![]() I highly recommend the Kartboy lever and bushing package. If your going to crawl under the car to install the Kartboy bushings, I recommend picking up the TiC bushings to finish off the package, they aren't much more and will stiffen it up a little more. PS...this little pin was a royal pain in the ass: ![]() MOO This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
