| Platinum Member | Just like I stated, with full headlights on, the right turn signal turns the HIDS on and off briefly. Anyone ever seen this issue? I'm going to take it by the dealer to see what kind of ghost is in the machine. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Junior STI Driver | That sounds pretty scary. Similarly my right turn signal will blink fast sometimes for no reason, maybe 2 days in a row, then go back to normal the next day...no idea why |

| Junior STI Driver | I have the exact same issue. Right side front turn signal blinks really fast, like there is a short or a bulb has burned out. When I turn the hazards on, though, it blinks at the normal rate. I also noticed that when the turn signal is blinking, one one of the filaments is lit, but when the hazards are turned on, both filaments in the bulb are lit. However, on the right side, where this issue is, only one filament is lit in the bulb. I am going to change out the bulb and see if it makes a difference. Hopefully it is a bad bulb and nothing else. Do not want to spend a whole day at the dealer over a stupid bulb, if I can fix it myself. |

| Junior STI Driver | I havn't had this issue since that post. Maybe once the weather cools down I'll see it again. But If I do I must check out the bulb issue! |

| Junior STI Driver | Ok, so today, I went to Pepboys and bought the replacement turn signal bulb to replace out the one that was buggy. As it turns out the part number in the manual and the charts at Pep Boys is wrong. This is the OEM part and the one I bought is a flat connector. ![]() ![]() Anyways, I had to take out the entire airbox, scoop and resonator to access the stupid bulb. It is jammed into the front fender. When I took the bulb out it was not burned out like I originally thought, although it was a bit dusty. Took a can of compressed air and sprayed the contacts down, made sure there was no debris or rust and plugged the bulb back in and tested the turn signal and now it works fine! Crazy! ![]() ![]() I am hoping it was just a loose bulb connection and not a greater electrical issue. Put everything back together and started the car. Every single warning light and the check engine light lit up and the "S" mode light flashing. ![]() Made sure the harness for the O2 sensor was connected, disconnected the battery, pumped the brake pedal a couple times to release any residual electricity and let the vehicle sit for about 10 minutes. Reconnected the battery terminal and started the vehicle. All warning light off now and the turn signal is back to normal ![]() I am hoping there will be no more electrical issues. Plus, I really do not trust the local dealer to trouble shoot it correctly. On a side note, without the resonator (white milk jug part) at over 5000 rpms, the vehicle makes a droaning noise, sound kind of ricey. No improvement in terms of smoothness or power. I will go to Home Depot and find a cap for the hole in the bottom of the intake where the resonator was attached to or just reinstall it. That plastic part, however is really heavy for what it is.
