Default The Art of Tuning

Can someone explain how the Subaru ECU works in terms of tuning? I'm familiar a little bit about tuning the A/F ratio but my understanding is the ECU has a lot more wizardry to it including compensation maps and other things. I was wondering if some kind soul can give an overview on the basic idea of tuning a STI. Thanks!

Start searching on Nasioc in the engine tuning area and on openecu.org. They both have a lot of good info. You also should check out wrxforums.com as they have a lot of good info, but related specifically to the Accessport.

And once they release it to the public, go to tactrix.com and buy a cable, and download ECUflash to copy the map off your car. Start by comparing your stock map to some of the other freely distributed maps on osecuroms.org.

But please make an effort to understand what each change does and why it was made.
