There are several good Subie tuners in/around Atlanta. I havn't had a car tuned yet but the folks at WRXAtlanta.com know the guys well. And I know a group of guys comes down from Charlotte to get tuned on occasion by these guys.

Dude, TopSpeed (near Atlanta) is one of the best Subie tuners, period.

TOPSPEED

Well, I installed mine last weekend and I have to say the stock tune simply bites. The AP in S# puts a smile on my face..and I'm still breaking it in. I haven't used the Perrin map yet. I'll wait until I pass the 1K mark and then see how they compare.

Thanks for the heads up on this outfit. They are within 3 hours of me, so I will have to check them out. I am pretty ignorant about this whole subject.

Do I understand this correctly? I need to buy an AP and then Topspeed will develop maps for my car and save them on the AP so they can be pulled on and off the ECU?

That is correct. I beleive TopSpeed sells the AP as well so you could just get it from them (might even discount it if you are getting tuned by them?).

The AP copies the factory map installed on your ECU before it installs a COBB map. When you return to stock it will put the original stock map back on the ECU.
