IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Can anyone help me with my 2008 STI I have to leave here from Ohio to go to Chicago which is 6 hrs away. I have a built 2008 STI with Blouch Dominator 3.0 R turbo, P@L Intake Cobb APV2, full turbo back exhaust and since i have put the GT Spec header and upipe along with the Perrin FMIC and Gimmick motorsports inlet hose. My check engine code is P1491 Positive Crankcase Ventelation Blowby Function Problem. I have tried resetting the ECU and this problem is still comming up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am leaving here in the next 3 hrs (Please Help) This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. Last edited by Rotated; 07-17-2008 at 08:43 PM. Reason: edited |

I have checked all connections, the only other thing i can come up with is that maybe when i modified the back top conector the last one that is at 12 oclock before going into the turbo, i modified it to fit into the silicone hose by trimming it down, so i could use the connector and be able to plug in the hose to the white connector. i hope this does not hurt the car because i am driving it 460 miles to P@L to get tuned. All by the way i had to make the P@L intake into a Short Ram in order for it to fit because the Perrin FMIC tubing was in the way on that side, I also had to disconnect the Aquamist pump from the car on the other side becasue of the FMIC tubing, Which i specifically stated before its install that i might go with a FMIC to keep that in mind, But I called and they told me they would fix it when i brought the car up so i am leaving out early so i can be there at opening to get the Pump relocated and fix the check engine ligtht before the protune. |

Also when did this code pop up in corresponding with the last mod done. Also is this the base map used or a tuned map? If a tuned map what's it tuned for and what isn't tuned for? IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | No the car has a custom mao for the turbo and 850cc injectors, George give me a low boost map till i got tuned. No the cell did not appear til after inlet hose, header, upipe and cat back. Its something to do with the way the inlet pipe is hooked up which is correct, it could maybe be the way the recirculating Perrin BOV is routed heck i do not know i will have P@L to fix it this morning. Thanks everyone I will keep you updated. David |

| Authorized Vendor | That's the code for the grey connetors that is inline with the last breather hose before the turbo coming from the PCV...at least it was on the older cars. Most aftermarket turbo inlets do not provide a way to hook this back up. Most people will jumper the connections on the connector to prevent the CEL. Tony |

| Junior STI Driver | check out the perrin inlet instructions on their site for details, but you can pull out the "pins" on the male connector (to which the grey one connects to) and pug it into the grey connector. seems like it's not really a sensor that does anything but warn you if it's unplugged (judging from the fact that the male end is essentially a paper clip). |
