Default How to remove realtime flash map?

Before I try to load up the valet map, how do I remove it other than resetting the ECU (which I don't even know which fuse is the correct one on my 08 STI)

You can just do a realtime flash of the valet map, it will simply replace the map that is currently loaded as a realtime map. When done, just do another realtime flash of your normal map.

Hmm but won't that have a "crappier" realtime map of my regular map? BTW do you know which fuse is for the ECU on the 08's?

Ironic FlashEngineer should have this question but I digress....

With the valet map, you simply realtime it over your existing base (flashed) map and you'll be good to go. Then when you want your regular map back, simply real-time that map over the valet. You will get all the benefits of this map since you have the same flashed already. Hope this helps.

Lol the name has nothing to do with what I know or work, I just picked it since I couldn't really think of anything.. I'm actually a Software Engineer in Test Development/QA, but yeah that makes sense... I still would like to know which fuse is for the ECU so I can reset it from time to time lol.. Where is Fiend, I'm sure he knows but he never answers my PMs

Go to the "Reset ECU" menu in your AP just like if you were going to clear CEL's. Hit ok to reset and it will clear out your real time map but it will keep your base map in place. It only takes a couple of seconds. The only way to clear out your base map it to reflash over it with another map. Disconnecting the battery or resetting the ECU won't clear out your base map, just real time maps.

I believe If you reset the ECU by usuing the AP, it is the same thing as pulling the fuse.
