More reason to get a CF hood. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Sadly, it is definitely steel. Initially, based on the marketing/press release when the car was revealed, it had "Aluminum hood" listed as a feature. Even the Subaru Canada website listed the hood as aluminum. I contacted Subaru Canada and they confirmed that the hood is indeed steel. Ah well, at least the aftermarket hood vendors can make money now. The old aluminum hood used to weigh less than some of the carbonfibre hoods. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I just did the magnet test on my STI with a simple refrigerator magnet -- 'sticks' to both the hood and tailgate. Bummer. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
