Perhaps I was making it overly complicated. As mattjk pointed out, these are well known methods. There's a lot of suspension threads over on Nasioc explaining this stuff. The point that I was making was that with the multilink design of the '08's, stiffening the rear bar only reduced rear traction so much. I guess I should have said, "after which a stiffer bar has minimal negative affect on rear traction". A little surprising, so again I'll take this with a grain of salt until I've experienced it myself or seen mroe data.
