I read somewhere the stockers are 28 lbs but that seems a bit much to me. I'm trying to round up the cash for tires on my volks. 16 lbs. They are the real deal.

Search is your friend. Numbers are all over in here.

Approximately 20-21# for BBS, 27-28# for base wheels.

Base wheels seem to be sculpted from blocks of solid lead. Maybe thats subarus way of motivating people to buy those $2k bbs.

I thought the bbs wheels on the 05 were heavy. Obviously the new ones would be better suited as boat anchors. They do look nice though but wow i cant believe that. I'm intrigued by the power/weight ratio thing more than power since i read about Opera Tuning over in Japan, along with the Lotus line of thinking.

Aren't any STI BBS wheels 04-07 sub 20lbs? Seems they are lighter than the new STI BBS rims.

pre-08 BBS's were also 17x8, yes? New ones are 18x8.5", so bigger and wider = heavier.

IC good call. I was still referring to him saying they were heavy when they are still lighter even if they are smaller.
