Default Cobb sent me the wrong AP but it works after Firmware upgrade

Gees... why cant they send the right part..lol

Guys let me know if I should return the AP or not..

So I recieved the AP last night, downloaded the ACN91 file, connect the ap to my car... AP shows the type of car after reading the ecu which is correct 2008 sti.. but when I click continue it wont go any further.. looking at the model on the actual AP it shows 2002-2005 ...

So did some research that firmware upgrade will fix the issue.. I flash the firmware on the AP with the current one AP-SUB-003.. at first the AP was looking for Access Port Manager\AP-SUB-001 subdirectory.. so what I did was rename the directory to AP-SUB-001.. then the firmware update worked.. and I was able to flash the ECU with ACN91V.101..

Should I revert back to stock and return the AP to cobb? should I be worried? I noticed on Sport mode there's hesitation on 3rd gear.. it;s fine on S#....

I guess I will restore the stock file and send the AP back to be safe what you guys think?

I would contact Cobb and go from there. Maybe you did all that's necessary. As for the hesitation, I know there is a learning curve for the ECU so you may just have to give a chance to adjust to the new maps.

Uh,
Im pretty sure the only difference on the AP btw model years is the software. Contact Cobb, but the actual unit you have will be physically identical to the one used for 05-07, just different maps for the 08.

You just have to update the manager software....
