Default brake squeak?

Anyone notice that when you tap your breaks coming to a slow stop it kind of squeaks? Or is it just me?

Completely normal. These brakes have never been quite since being released in 04.

Same problem here. I'm thinking of trying some of the anti-sqeak stuff. As soon as I catch some time, and feel like disassembling my brakes....

the oem setup makes all sorts of clicks(retaining plate shift)/chirps(retaining pin rotation)/and slow pad squeal. totally normal. you can lightly lube them (no NOT the pad duh), to silence it, but it's only temporary.

Anyone have experience with anti-squeal compounds? Do they work/for how long?

Mine squeak a little bit when backing up slowly and hitting the brakes (ie. parking).
