Bump for the question

well, i made the same fundamental mistake of asking the bov question without doing a search.

try that first and it might answer some questions you have.

yah, if you must get a bov after doing your research, i would recommend going to you tube and type in the bov of your choice for a sound test. from all the ones i've heard, i like the hks ssqv the best.

I'll be putting my turbosmart 50/50 bov on my 08 after I break her in. Its nice because at low boost it recirculation and high boost half atmosphere.

To use a bov that wont cause issues make sure it recirculates. %100 is best.

In a MAF based engine management system, it isn't possible to tune for a BOV. I'd like to know how your tuner did it without going speed density. If I'm wrong please by all means correct me.

im now looking at the perrin recirc blowoff valve SS on harman's site, is that going to be safe with the MAFS and will it still give me a swoosh noise? and do i need any other type of hardware to install it or does it just bolt onto where the one is now. Thanks

No, you're right. It is impossible to tune out all of the ill effects of an atmospheric BOV on a maf based system.

Aren't Mitsu's more blowoff valve friendly? If so, get the Mitsu not the STI.

Damn the movie fast and the furious. All these kids want blow off valves now.
