My cousin is in the navy and he has had to go across country at least three times. Once with his WRX and twice with his EVO. He drove once over without any fuel saver and once with the some kind of fuel booster liquid you put in your tank with every fill up and he saw about a 4-6 mpg gain. Granted though most of his driving was hwy but I don't see why it wouldn't work in city too with slightly less gains. I'm not sure if you thinking about this kind of product or those typhoon things you see on t.v. but pm me if you want to know what product he used.

Same time of year and weather (temps/humidity)? Same direction (east = tailwind, west = headwind)? Same tires/inflation? Same gas (ethanol mix hurts mileage significantly)?

Sorry, but the open road makes a lousy lab.

If you buy any of the crap that gets marketed for saving fuel, all you'll be is another fool parted from his money.

Look at the government websites. None of them have been proven to help mpg.

If you have good reactions...REALLY good reactions. Then get 8 feet behind a semi on the freeway. The reduced speed and virtually no wind resistance should give you great milage gains. haha.

LMAO drafting a semi... priceless

I would think if these devices worked without any damaging effects, or at all for that matter, then car companies would have go their hands on it already.

For sure. If any one of these "companies" could convince any car manufacturer/oil company that their patented do-dad/elixir actually worked, they could license or sell it for untold millions... but no... they'll do you the favor of cutting out the middle man and selling it directly to you for $89.97 (three easy payments of $29.99).

MY friend tried this thing where you put into the coolant reservoir tank. It was supposed to release minus ions into the coolant, then the coolant releases it into the engine block/piston chamber, then the ions help burn the fuel more efficiently... Sounds like sorcery to me.

Your true fuel efficient gadget is the knob right above your dccd controller. push that knob in...
