Default Plugging into OEM GPS Antenna.

In my 08 STI there are 2 cables coming out of the roof antenna. There is an unused plug from that harness behind the radio which seems to be the plug-in for the OEM GPS head unit. Does anyone know what kind of plug this is so that I can plug into it??? Many Thanks!

I am not sureif it is for XM/Sirius or GPS. But, isn't a satellite antenna a satellite antenna?

Usually, both the XM/Sirius and GPS feeds would come from the same, or similar antenna... the FM antenna is obviously the one that's sticking straight up...

It's it's an "unused" plus, and you DONT have satellite radio or nav, then you could be right!

I really want to just plu into the factory plug rather than running a new line. Does anyone know anything about the plug on the end of the factory harness?

OK so it is either a GPS or XM/Sirius connection. You say that your car is not equipped with the navigation unit, so I would venture to guess that it is GPS and not XM/Sirius because the installation kit for those units includes an antena which you will find towards the bottom of this page

Cheers
