Invidia DP & exhaust for the 08 sti

I was wondering what u guys thought about the invidia DP and exhaust for the sti

It is a very good piece for the money. You need to go to youtube and do a search under sti and invidia exhaust. There might be some vids where you can hear the sound. IMHO i would try to attend a Subaru or import meet where you can actually hear several systems in person then you can make a better informed decision.

I've heard the N1 on an 08 WRX, sounded great. Yet, too wondered if it was available for the STi. Doesn't the factory CB flow great numbers to support just the Invidia DP? Like the cleanliness of stock appearance. . .

oh didnt know about that.

yea the factoy CB does flow pretty good, all you need is a DP to run a stage 2 tune, and some people are saying its almost has high numbers as TBE

Oh dang, could run a stage 2 91 octane tune with their divorced wastegate DP could be decent running over stock?

Just went stage 2 yesterday, after installing a Invidia hfc split bellmouth dp for the '08. Bolted right up to the stock cb and hotside housing with no fitment issues.
As far as quality goes; the welds are top notch along with the whole dp itself

. At idle it sounds stock, but once you hit boost and open it up you hear a nice growl along with a louder spool

Not to mention, so far it runs great with the Cobb v1.01 stage 2 93 map.

That's pretty much all I have to say about the Invidia dp, for now.

I don't have the Invidia, but I just put the Harman Motive TBE on mine w/Stage 2 and it is an unbelievable improvement in sound and performance...I can't imagine anyone not loving this system...It has a nice deep tone on idle and a really good growl when on the gas...It doesn't drone, but you can definitely hear it at highway speed...It can actually get pretty loud at WOT, but it sounds great...The performance improvements are amazing over stage 1, but that will probably be the case w/any system...The HM is almost a work of art w/the great welds, quality of construction and really nice tips...It's a shame no one else will see it underneath...Since I live in Alaska, I had to pay a big price for shipping to get it here, but I would definitely do it again.

I agree with you SonnyAK on the Harmon Exhaust system, by far the best looking for the 2008 STI. the stock system is very nice looking from the factory, and Harmon's is a great improvement over it. But it is not cheap @ 1500.00 for the Turbo back system.

It's a shame the other manufacturers aren't getting on the ball and putting their systems on the market sooner...The competition would help keep the prices within reason...I'm sure a lot of the '08 owners will buy one of the systems, especially after they see/hear/feel the difference, so I'm sure the market will support the development.

invidias CB just came out. it has a pretty deep mellow sound. i saw it today.
