I've already decided the same thing. I'd prefer to stick with the stock exhaust on the STI and run Stage 2 than spend money on something louder, uglier, and only a few HP more.

so i ended up getting the invidia catless DP just wonder if n e one know where i can find install procedure. any info would be good i tried searching but came up empty

Look in the how to install section. The install on the older models is exactly the same.

ill have the invidia cbe installed on mon with perrin equal lenght headers. Already had the dp from invidia with samco turbo inlet hose. im gettin the retune on tuesday. first tune posted on you tube. "08 sti stage2 prt 1" the second you tube post will be done wed ... word!!!

here is a tip I can give you. do not let the engine cool down too much. if the fasteners get cold, wd40 or breakfree won't help you. you will most likely break a stud.

i've always removed exhaust fasteners with the engine mid-warm. never had a problem. tough to work on, but never had a problem.

my buddy with an 05sti, didn't listen to me. 800 miles on his car and he busted a dp stud and a stud off the uppipe. (replaced the turbo with a bigger unit). had to spend an additional 3 days removing the uppipe, taking it to a machine shop, have them extract the stud, and then re-install the uppipe.

he was cussing the entire time.
