uninstalling iPod connector - anyone have instructions?

Hi -

I just installed a Kenwood DNX-8120 into my 08.

When I bought the car, one of the only options I was very unhappy about was the iPod connector (because I knew I was replacing the stock stereo with a nav unit).

Now that I have the stock head unit out, I am weighing whether it is worth my time to try and salvage out the iPod connector to sell that and the box that piggybacks on the stock radio on eBay or here.

It probably is too much of a PITA for the price I could get for selling this used anyhow -- will probably cut the end off and push the cable down to make more space in the center storage.

But anyhow I don't know what is involved in uninstalling this should I want to do this -- does anyone have the option instructions or the shop manual's detailing of how to get the cable out of my center console?
