Thats the deal though. Why would you want to run a map where you are scared to drive it in a certain situation? It is unacceptable. I spoke with one of the guys that are opening the Cobb store here in Plano, TX, and they say there will be a new map released by the end of the month.

I agree but flooring the car in 5th at 3K doesn't make sense either. It creates unnecessary load on the engine. So yes, you should be able to do that without fear, but that still doesn't mean it is a good thing to do.

IIRC, Perrin did their dyno testing for stage 2 in 5th gear.

Count me in also, got the code two times this week, first time the code show up while I was driving at 65mph on cruise control . Only the code showed up, I reset it but the second time I was pulling hard (No down shifting, wasn't flooring the car either) in 5th gear, I was driving around 100mph and still accelerating when the BANG happens, the car bucked seriously and throw the 244 code... Scared the **** out of me.

I'm glad I leased my car

Car is bone stock and I was running stage 1 93 1.01 map for the last 500 miles.

I hope the map file that Cobb is supposed to release will fix this

Happened again this morning for me too.

Right after shifting from 3rd to 4th accelerating to merge on the highway, not going WOT either. 61 degrees out. Definitely swapping maps tonight since its twice in 2 days.

I got it yesterday afternoon. v1.01. I was WOT in 4th. 93 octane and in Northeast.
