| Junior STI Driver | What RPM do you start your pulls at? Maybe your lugging the car? Could you list any and all mechanical mods? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

i'm on the original stage1 map. and never saw a CEL... i'm near sea level though with slight elevation now and then. i wonder if i should upgrade the map or not. your "running stronger than ever" statement makes me curious ![]() J. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Reviving this thread. I got the same code today. I was actually not even on the gas, I was coming down an offramp with no accelleration. Check Engine, cruise, and traction control lights came on, and the [S] started blinking. I have an Invidia catted downpipe and AP Stage 2. I do have an exhaust leak, and I know/knew it because I heard it softly a few days after the install and then louder over the following days. Figured I'd get to it this weekend without any trouble but the code popped up today. I read the code with the AP and called a buddy who looked it up in the forums. Some Legacy guys reported the same thing and it was indeed an exhaust leak for them. Same kind of thing, AP Stage 2 and downpipe. I torqued the bolts from the turbo to the DP with the recommended 26ft-lbs but it seemed ridiculously "not tight enough." I gave the torque wrench a little extra push after 26ft-lbs but maybe that still wasn't enough. I did not use ultra copper on it because it was a new gasket but maybe I'll do that when I get to repairing this. Just wanted to semi-confirm the exhaust leak causing the problem. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I flashed to the 1.01 Stage 2 from 1.00 and its the 1st time I have been happy with the 08. It now pulls like the 04 did. I was never happy with Stage 2 1.00 getting the usual codes and sluggish performance. Not one code since 1.01 Base map was flashed. Time for full exhaust. Happy again |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 Trader Rating: (1) | I've been getting the Wastegate Solenoid 'A' range/performance code. Twice in 2 days. One of the times wasn't even anywhere near redline. I don't feel comfortable leaving this map on the car if it'll cause damage. Is there potential for that? |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Got the 244 code with v101. Shifting up and down in 4th and 5th on the highway then a WOT pull in 5th. About 90 degrees. Sea level. Had the v101 about a week and 200 miles. Stage 1 93. No other mods. |
