Oh that looks sweet, I would leave it just like that. With the spherical whiteline and the spacers, it would be perfect. I'm not sure how making a slightly longer would affect the bar rate, I'm guessing the longer it is, the softer the entire bar itself would be.

In regards to making larger front swaybars than 25mm:

We can do this, but it's a little tricky. There is only so much room for the swaybar mounts to the chassis. To get a bar that big would require either a step-down to 25mm at the mounts or a completely re-engineered mounting system.

This is exactly the kind of project I like, but we would need some serious interest and deposits to get rolling on this. Let me know if there is enough interest.

29mm is F'n huge! What do you guys need that much bar for?

Dan

On that note, we'd have to make a connecting rod of an endlink to support that bar... geez.

For Autocross of course

Actually if I could get a 32 mm it would be even better, but we'll settle for 29.

How much deposit do you need? I have my credit card ready to swipe

Most of us that autocrosses on a pro level, needs this bar badly. Let me know how much is needed, and I'm gamed.

Wow. Well to make it into production we have to make a minimum run of 10. You would need to get 10 people lined up and I'd get it done for you. The higher the run, the lower the price. I would figure this will be an expensive piece though.

How much do you need from 10 people? I can cover the deposit for 10 to make it into production. If no one else besides me and waktasz wants in, I'll cover the rest. I need this bar like yesterday for the next national tour and Nationals this upcoming sept.

I should be getting a new 08 in ~2 months and once I do I would be interested in a bigger bar. I'm not nearly as competitive as maron10 or waktasz but I hope to eventually get to that level. So how much of a deposit + final price are we talking about here?

Hey guys.. help a newb out.. I want to upgrade my front sway bar and endlinks (its a better idea to do endlinks too right??) but I'm not sure which to go with. I am browsing Harman Motive's shop site and seems like Perrin bar with Perrin endlinks would be good but reading this discussion I'm not so sure any more. Will they work swimingly with my 08 STI?? Or should I wait for the HM bar?

Thanks

go with harman motive for sure.. they've always been straight forward with their R&D and get / give feedback whenever questions and answers arrive.
~~Dan you can put me on the list depending on the final price.... and i'm gonna have to make a little video showcasing all the product i've bought from you guys lately.

Just curious... but would you guys be using your car as a DD with 32 or 29mm bars?
This also might be a newb question, but all this talk about front sway bars, are you using rear sway bars too, or do you not use em for auto cross?

Are these bars / end links noisy at all? My last car was an 02 Civic and I worked heavily on the suspension, but it was very very noisy, and that's the last thing I want with my 08 STI.

Granted the Civic didn't even COME with a rear sway bar and when we upgraded it we had to drill holes / use custom end links.

Also, is a front sway bar upgrade preferred over a rear bar for this car, or are both recommended? There is too much body roll right now, my civic was much tighter around a course.

And HM is the winner here, or Perrin?

So far not Perrin. They haven't released an 08 STI bar that fits properly yet.

As far as noise...usually that's due to clunky endlinks. If you get good spherical bearing endlinks, or use a bushing type (like Kartboy) they shouldn't make any noise at all.

Do you think there will be more maturity in the market? Better products coming out?
