I have though about adding washers on the bottom side, between the pillow ball and the tab to decrease the angle. But, the moment arm then increases at that end putting more strain on the tab. Since the endlinks are still within their operating angles I am going to leave it as is.

I had the same issue with the Perrin bar that I installed yesterday. Why is it that you guys can't get this right?

I used solid whiteline endlinks and there are such a huge angle on the enlinks, that the bushings totally came off and had to use my stock endlinks, which I must say is not looking too good either. It gives the impression that the bar is way to short. I may return this as the fit is really crappy. I autocrossed on the bar yesterday, and I was in constant fear that it was going to kill my stock endlinks.

Come on guys, the 08 front bar is the easiest yet to make and mount compared to the earlier years, can someone please get it right?

Agreed... that endlink looks scary the way it's on there now. Stock or otherwise... I wonder if the Perrin and HMs were designed length wise to the stock specs length instead of improving on it by lengthening slightly...

What if someone was to use the stock endlinks? Would the angle break them?

This bar is actually vers. 2.0 of Harman's design.

Their were issues with stock links on ver. 1.0. So maybe.

Talk to them for complete advice.

I have not tried stock endlinks and the ver. 2.0 bar. Sorry.

Yeah im not sure what issues a longer bar would cause but it would only need to be like an inch or 2 longer shouldnt really get in the way of any thing

Here is the animated gif I was attempting last night.
Shows the whiteline endlink with the stock bar and then the 25 mm solid bar.

It looks like the Harman bar follows the same design as the stock bar which would potentially come close in fitment. The Perrin bar is horrible.

I don't have a good before picture to do the same effect on the pass. side.

Same exact endlink. Before and after the 25 mm bar install.

Why would I change it?

BTW, the picture of the new bar has the endlink in the stiff position. I am currently running the bar on soft.

Both positions were quite easy to access to switch between with these endlinks. Did it with two wrenches and no ramps or jacks. I did take off those little aero flaps in front of the wheels though. Those things are fodder during auto-x's

Someone should get a pitcure of the perrin bar fitment here.

I was told they were going to re-design the bar to fit better.

Maybe they just modded the legacy bar and took the easy route. ???

Not sure.

Hey ploney, any idea what Harman is going to do with your prototype bar after they are done with their testing? I'll seriously buy it off you/them. We corded our front Hoosiers today after only 4 events . It needs a bar bad.

Here's a pic of the Whiteline 22mm WRX adjustable swaybar on my STi for comparison guys. I had it installed last month, no problems so far. Those Whiteline endlinks are sure durable, I'm pretty confident it'll hold up, but I'm probably gonna replace them for a swaybar that puts less angle on the endlinks once someone finally makes one.

Hi,

I am not sure what I can and can't say in a thread not being a vendor... and I don't want to violate any rules of the board by posting an alternative product to the whiteline end links.

I do know that there are better fitting end links for the 08 WRX / STi (front and rear).
