Anyone know if there is a way to program the keyless entry to open all doors by pressing the unlock once instead of having to press it twice?

Probably not. Just out of curiosity, why do you want it that way?

I was able to do that for my Celica. A combination of opening the door twice, press lock once close door, press unlock three times. You get the idea... I was able to do that after I found out who made the security system.

Anyways, the reason is because I almost always have a passenger with me (my wife for example!) and it's just easier to press it once. And I could also set the passive alarm so that if I forget to lock the door, and somebody opens the door, the alarm will go off unless the key is inserted into the ignition within 20 seconds.

I to would be a fan of this. There is almost always someone else with me and when I am alone going to work I'm throwing gear in the back seat... I would like to see it open all doors with one press of the button...

Thanks! I'm glad somebody understands! It's not a big deal but it would be convenient to have that option.

if you get an aftermarket alarm and stater they can program it for that!!

That would be nice as well as the doors automatically locking after getting over 5mph. Hopefully there is a hack for everything.

on the last car i had you just held the unlock button for like 3 seconds and it would switch to unlock all then hold again and it would go back to one at a time,dont know if this will work for Subie...

I'll have to try the hold thing... That sounds like a smart way to do it.

And the automatic lock is also a great idea. Anybody know who makes the factory security system in the STi?

I just tried it, didnt work for me but there has to be a way to do it

Try this
Unlock car with Fob
Open Driver's door and leave open
Press and hold unlock on the fob for a few seconds, the car should chirp at you
Close door and try locking and unlocking.

This worked on a previous car I had. To switch back, do the same thing again.

Hahaha.... Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that one when I get to my car. Well, if everybody tries some weird combination eventually we'll get it... Right?? Just make sure you take good notes and tell us if it worked!

I'm also going to try: open door, press lock twice, run around the car, close door, hold unlock for 5 seconds, open door, hold my breath press lock, and close the door.... :P
