IWSTI Addict since: May 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | The wheels will not be run on the street. This is strictly an auto-x setup, so I went with the cheapest light weight wheels I could find on tirerack ![]() at 19 pounds each, and the super lightweight hoosier A6s, the car should feel a lot quicker on course. I'm guessing without weighing them that both wheel and tire is at 38 pounds per corner. I had tirerack mount them (285x30x18) on 18x8.5 with 50 mm offset, pretty much stock offset. I can't wait to romp on them this weekend .(Don't mind the Z, it's my girlfriend's car and my temp auto-x car when/if the sti is down for whatever reason) ![]() This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Senior STI Driver | Those are the same wheels that I'm running on my '08 for RallyCross this season, except in silver. The "Emery gold" looks a lot nicer in your pics than on the TireRack site. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I'm pretty confident that they won't rub, especially when I'm staying with the stock offset (50). I was running 275 40 17 khumo v710s prior with a 42 mm offset, and I didn't have any rubbing issues. By looking at the width of the tire, it doesn't look as wide as my old 275 khumos. The profile could possibly be the reason. They just don't look like they are 285s, and I don't see the need to stuff 295, since it really wouldn't provide me with a bigger footprint, so my guess is, the 285 30 18 will most likely be the standard in AS. |
