Default I didn't buy it for the gas milage...but?

Idea's anybody...What would be the most economical settings for the VDC & DCCD combo. I do 95 miles a day to and from work.I just got my AP a week ago,and I have Flashed the stage 1 ACN 91 octane map,and I realtime the Econo map for the commute.

Before the AP my best tank was 27.6...but that's driving like old people f---.

Thanks

That was just one tank. But I'm always right around 25.3-25.6 MPG.I think with the right settings I can do better.

Basing it on one tank of gas is sort of silly. You can do lots of different things on each tank of gas. The avg gas millage is based on the trip odometer. On my trip back from the mountains today I got 33 miles to the gallon...highway, mostly downhill.

But later around town I reset it and was accelerating hard and only getting 14mpg.

The biggest thing you can do to improve mpg is control unnecessary pedal movement. 27 is pretty good though.

There are other mods that can help too. Cut weight, get more efficient spark plugs, improve aerodynamics...

I have noticed that I seem to get the best mileage at around 55-60. At my usual 70-80 it drops off by 3-4mpg easily. Strangely, I've also noticed that I appear to get a mile or two worse when I use cruise control.

The 27 was one tank, but the 25.3-25.6 is all tanks.i figure it with a calculator.I don't trust that average crap on the dash.

But there is 18 miles of coasting down 6% grades everyday,so I can knock the crap out of Mustangs when I get home and still get a respectable MPG.

Any feed back on the VDC & DCCD settings????

I thought I was doing good with my 25 mpg around town this weekend (until rush hour traffic). 27.6 is VERY impressive if you can consistently achieve that.

To get great mileage I find myself leaving it in I mode (Cobb stg1 93 oct), auto dccd and traction on. I leave myself a bit more time to merge and accelerate very lightly, shifting around 2.5k and putting in 6th gear if the ground is flat and Im above 40 mph.

Corny as it sounds, its fun for me to try and get the best mileage out of the gas I have. Considering roads around my house are boring and require dangerous speed to be interesting, this is the next best option.

Another thing I do to save gas is to ride my bike to work as much as possible. Save a gallon a day. Not too shabby.
