| Amateur STI Driver | I usually get anywhere from 18.9 - 23 "have seen 27 though going 40 in 6th gear down a long Blvd," with a mix of about 50/50 Highway and street. Using a long one mile coast onto my highway exit I have seen the MPG go from 21.6 to 21.9 just by doing that. I usually go about 75-85MPH on the highway. Going 80 is where the MPH takes the dip. I'am in Tampa, FL so the heat does not help my MPH, as does humidty. "I always get the best MPH at night, or earlier in the morning." I haven't even made one car payment yet and already have a ticket for 63 in a 45 for 188. That is like a cash advance of 3 tanks of gas I might try for better MPG now! |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 Trader Rating: (1) | hahah. Yeah, it sucks driving at 65MPH on I, but I save a LOT of gas. I do that when I commute to/from work. When I'm driving around for fun it's in S# and I'm getting anywhere from 17-19. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | You guys need to buy a beater car as a daily driver. I got lucky and picked up a 2001 Toyota Corolla LE with 46k miles for $4700 yesterday. ![]() Its nice to drive a automatic beater car that gets 35+ MPG. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
