My mileage has been getting better lately. I am up to averaging 22mpg over a tank. When I got the car I was only getting about 18. I have about 8000 miles on the car now.

I did a 200 mile round-trip highway trip this weekend... one way in S# mode and *cough* triple digits speed (give or take) omfg this car is fast - actual average 18.6mpg (the computer said 19.5), the other way back in I mode and shifting with the arrow and barely touching the gas pedal the entire way (almost everybody was passing me, I was an embarrassment to the Fraternity of STI!! ) I got 28.5mpg (the computer said 27.6).. that's better than I ever got on the WRX! I now have about 650 miles on the car.

Are you guys finding that the trip computer is accurate when compared to your own calculations? I didn't bother calculating myself but my trip computer told me I was getting a tick over 22 mpg on my Vegas run last week. Car loaded with my wifie and little one, and gear. Total about 250# while traveling ~75mph the whole way.

Everyone's results will vary. But the way I calcuated it and the way the car did were off in the first 1000 miles by 1mpg. Now they are right now. So I trust it all the time.

Guys. Driving 55 in I mode yields 33+mpg on a flat. I understand the reasons for buyng the car, but when you are driving normal, why not try to save some money and some gas?

My avg for my current tank is 29.1mpg over 260 miles. Pretty awesome!

Driving 55 on Southern CA freeways will cause you to get tailgated, cussed out, honked at, and cut off. Around here when traffic isn't a concern we go 75-80, and the cops don't pull us over for that unless we're being dangerous about it.

I take it you've never been to michigan?

Either way, you can't be a *****, or be afraid to be tailgated. SOMEONE has to start a revolution. Don't just sit there.

Hawaii has a pretty strict speed limit of 50-55 on freeways. Anything over 60 and risk getting a ticket. My mpg says 21.7, but a little more on the 22range in actual. 750miles currently. Hope my mpg getts better as miles rack up.

That's in 6th about 2250 rpm. More than 400 to the tank actually. Its really nice.

I just stored a 32.1mpg (over about 70 miles) in my nav unit. I usually get the factory freaks.
