has anyone changed the trunk/cargo area light bulb to a different color? i looked at the assembly and it didn't look like any regular bulb... i wanted to change the color match the rest of my interior's cold white LED color.

Never changed the bulb but why the hell won't Subaru ever put an overhead bulb in the back of a WRX wagon or STi, now that its a hatch? If you have anything in the back of the car bigger than a duffle bag you can't see anything because its blocking the only light. I guess it would increase the production cost between sedan and wagon to put an overhead light in. Its just annoying.

I was actually thinking of going all red with the interior (except map lights). Who makes the best LED replacement.

not sure who makes the "best" but i think you maybe able to find red dome light led replacement on ebay. theres a couple of options, you can choose the pcb mounted smt led replacement or the bulb type replacement.

i got my white led map and dome light from ferdie at south coast subaru. it was not very cheap but you should never have to replace these things since their life span is supposed to be over 100k hours of continuous use.
