Yes, simply connect AP, hit uninstall while car is powered on (but not moving of course!) You do not need to connect the green connectors while using the AP for the 2008 Sti, either during install or uninstall.

What are you bringing the car in for? If it is just an oil change or simple service, I wouldn't bother.

Simple oil change... Just didn't want to risk it. I had some horrible customer service with the place I purchased my STI unfortunately .. But the car makes up for everything. I just took the map off this morning and it is insane how different the car feels. It feels immensely more powerful with it in i can't wait till after wednesday when I get the oil change done and I can throw it back in!!! Is there like a break in period for the map after i install it or no?

Initially your throttle might feel mushy until the ECU relearns the throttle position values.

Drive it til it warms up then turn off the car and start it again. AVCS isn't active on the first drive cycle after an ECU reflash.

paranoia paranoia everybody's coming to get me.....

That's how it was on the older DBW cars at least. Read it on the Enginuity forums back when I was free tuning my car with ECU Flash.

is this true? I was planning on dyno'ing tomorrow. 1 run Stock.
then 2 runs Stage 1 right after. Does this mean my Stage1 numbers will be lower than they will at 100-200miles later?
