IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Anyone else find the Brembos (These are brembos, right?) a little soft? It seems like they need more pressure than normal to stop. Has anyone tried bleeding the brakes on the 08 STI, maybe I have some air in there? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I noticed this too. I test drove a car before I bought the one I now have and it was soft too. Almost couldn't stop at an intersection. Where did you get the lines from? |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | My brother's office-mate track races a 240SX and drove my car around the block once and that was his biggest complaint, soft brakes. It doesn't bother me enough to replace the lines (but im sure i will eventually as it is a cheap mod) |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | RSD, what lines do you sell for the '08 STI? I like the Goodridge; I have them on my z06. What fluid did you go to, DOT4? Do we have to do an abs flush when changing fluid? |

Unfortunately, I have no recollection of my '05 when stock as I had SS lines and RBF600 fluid in there about a month or two after I got the car. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | It was good for the first 1500kms or so... then the brakes were making a loud low "rrrrrrrrrooooom" noise. From that point on the brakes got worse and lost it's initial bite. Found out the brake pad material was cracking. Took it back to my dealer and had a mechanic test drive it and he agreed that something wasn't right. So i'm getting new pads tommorrow as a warranty replacement. I'll see how that goes. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | since i had my lines installed, i had the system bled 4 times, with dot 5.1, and even now i still have a soft pedal , softer than stock. it s a damn nightmare for me, nobody in my area seems to be able to properly bleed brakes make sure you find a trusty mechanic.
