IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I currently have the Ferado 2500 pads, and just ordered the lines and new fluid from RSD. I am looking forward to the difference. Had them on a previous car and really liked the feel. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Authorized Vendor | Before my first track day with the 08 I swapped fluid for some RBF 600. I couldn't believe the amount of air in the lines. It was insane!!! And this was only after 1 autox and about 4 weeks of street driving. Just nuts!! Tony |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I'm going to take a little different point of view here. Running my car hard last weekend (At Deal Gaps) I thought the brakes felt very strong with almost zero fade. Two things that I noticed however: 1. Brake pedal feels more linear than 'instant-on' brakes. This may be what folks are calling soft, but it's feels very predictable and useful to me. I can see that SS lines would sharpen this up a bit. 2. Rear end felt like it floated a bit under hard braking. Almost as if the brake bias was a little off. Granted I still trail braked like a champ, but braking hard in a straight line made me feel a little uneasy. Could also have been tire pressures. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (1) | I had my car on the track for the first time yesterday, brakes definitely felt soft. But I'm not convinced stainless lines are the solution - I think track pads and new, properly bled fluid will accomplish the same thing without spending another $100. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I have noticed that there is so much dust generated by the factory pads that if I don't wash the car once a week I get much more of a grinding noise and they feel softer. |

| Platinum Member | I put on technafit lines and ATE Super Blue this weekend. What a difference! I recommend whether you track or not get rid of the rubber lines. Next up for me will be Fedoro 2500 pads. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (2) | I agree with the soft pedal but in my case, it was all relative. Coming from a Miata, the brakes on the STI seemed a bit spongy but they grip like hell, after you mash the thing pretty hard. I went to the local dealer and the tech of 20 years indicated that the brakes are working as they should and that the effort is normal. I'm used to it now but my friend who recently drove my car had the same observation I initially had. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | This must just be a case of bleeding at the factory. Mine are super sensitive - the dealer that pulled my car off the truck has an 05 sti with stainless lines and he couldn't believe how the brakes felt on the new car. When I bedded the pads in after picking the car up the final 100-0 stop was so violent it gave me a bit of headache. I'm switching out the fronts to Hawk HPS, but that's just because I can't stand how much the stock pads dust - and the BBS wheels suck to clean. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
