No good, sounds like piston rings are gone. I dont really understand what happened initially with tha AP and maps changes thou.

There is sometime a rattle noise at idle sometimes. Dealer said it was becuase of missing heat sheilds. They replaced the sheilds and i still hear it. Its intermittent

Motor's toast. Ask them to do a leakdown test and demand a loaner while they install a new block.

you sir have a broken piston ring or rings. go to the dealer, open the oil fill cap show the puffing engine and "scream i did not buy a locomotive, please replace my engine." then follow with "where is my loaner because im ready to lemon law this thing."

If they have to replace the motor, they should just give you a new car. I believe the replacement of the engine goes on the cars record and lowers the value.

Um...why should they do that for him? While we can't be sure with 100% certainty, his goof up with the stage 1 vs stage 2 realtime map and the subsequent boost spike + fuel cut could have easily damaged the motor. The problem started after the mistake, which points to user error. In light of the stop sale, I think he could get away with getting a new/rebuilt motor, but to demand a new car? That would be on morally shady ground.
