Hey I'm not ragging on you, but you might have just been unlucky. Sometimes it only takes one bad spike. Look at some of the guys that run 500whp cars on the stock block for months and months of abuse with no problems and then you get a guy with a 300whp tune that blows his engine. Sometimes it is the luck of the draw not too mention the tune. Perhaps the stage 2 tune really didn't take to your car.

Dude, you flashed it wrong and borked the engine. Simple as that. I really doubt it is a coincidence. The realtime map does not contain all of the parameters your engine needs for the complete tune AFAIK.

That being said... you could probably get the dealer to replace your engine, but asking for a new car is over the top. Even them replacing your engine is not fair to them, but if you're morally ok with that, then go ahead and do it.

Read the instructions next time.

Duh, I was so exited to feel the beast from within i did not relize i flashed the wrong map.Result some how I blew the seals in the turbo and was smoking like a beater, and my intercooler and dp were covered with oil. The dealer is replacing the turbo at 2800 miles. A good lesson learned

You said you had an exhaust? Am I too assume you had a turboback? Maybe without a tune?

If so maybe you crept, fried a piston or ring (or both) and are now losing oil in from that area. Or, maybe your car is affected by the stop sale issue.

Remaining professional and calm while dealing with the Subare Service Dept. is good advice. I would only tell the service department that the car smokes and that it is unacceptable on a new car. If they tell you that is normal, either find a different dealer or put a call in to SOA.

Whether you think SOA should pay for your motor if it popped due to your modifications......

Im still not convinced the ap did the damage, This is a mechanical problem. I appreciate all your comments
You still think its a mechanical problem that wasn't brought on by the AP, even though you said you flashed the wrong map? Mmmm...ok.

It is a mechanical problem, caused by improper Tuning.

Search turbo stop sale. It's the world's fastest growing thread.
