Default grinding brakes

after driving after work last night on a great road in the hills. On the way home, I was coming off the hwy and noticed a grinding sound and feel with the breaking but only right before the car stops. It sounded terrible! I have noticed some similar brake reactions after hard driving in the past, but not like this... I only have 2500 miles. Could the pads be worn already?! Anyone else?!

I get some crazy sounds from my brakes too. I've heard these sounds are par for the course for these types of brakes. I had a tech of 25 years drive my car and he said they're working fine.

I have heard it before, but it was immediately after hard breaking. This was 20 min after the hard part of the drive. Pulling into my driveway with the windows down to listen and it sounded like metal on metal. When I drove it later, it seemed fine... I am going to a raceway at the end of the month for driver training and I cant have this happening!

Low-speed brake noise is to be expected with high-performance brakes. Every performance car I have owned does the same.

The sounds goes away for me after I stop hard or the brakes are warm. Like everyone said though, totally normal.

cool, thanks guys. It just seems weird that mine get noisy AFTER driving hard, when everything is warm already.

My car has that awful grinding noise but not after i drive it hard. Its mostly when im driving aorund town lightly using the brakes.
I got to drive a Ferrari 355 F1 Serie ZFiorano. It has brake noises and squeaks and squeals. The owner said that high performance brakes tend to make alot of noise.
