Default o8 access port help please

I installed my cobb d.p. and retuned from stage 1 to stage 2. I have a couple questions.
1. Do I need to be in S#?
2. I overboosted once---why? Could it be it just did not dial in yet or could I have been in S instead of S#?
3. The stage 2 prorogram I chose said stage 2 93/100. I chose this b/c I can get 93 octane at the pump--Did I choose the correct setting?
4. How long or how many miles should it take for the adaptives to set? I only have 180 miles on the car?? I just got it a week ago.
What other mods can I do? I did the the K&N lay in too.

Thanks so much

Take the K&N off, on a car with a MAF it can really screw things up and doesn't give any real advantage. The Cobb OTS maps are very specific about using the stock airbox; you should not switch unless you get a protune. There's a good chance this is why you threw the overboost code.

You can be in any SI-Drive mode. SI-Drive simply changes the throttle response, not the engine map.

Sounds like you chose the right map as long as you put 93 in.

Not sure how quickly the ECU timing adjustments happen.

I ran a K&N filter for 50k with no problems in my last STi, but I have heard that the 08's a more finickey.

Yes I agree take it off.

This is not true it is screwing things up becouse the ECU program in Subys suck. Put a cold air intake on a turbo Audi with changing a thing and see what happens.

Dont worry too much about the overboost. It seems fairly common after reflashing.

Take the K&N off until you get protuned or COBB releases a flash for it. Dont feel bad about doing this - I've heard the stock air box is good to 500hp, so its not as restrictive as other air boxes.

I recommend reflashing (NOT REALTIME) the 93 map again, just to be sure, and then take it easy on the car until the ECU learns the new map. There is definitely an adjustment period there. After reflashing, my car does not feel strong for a couple days or normal driving. But then!!! Woh!
