I have tried the rear rotors and they do swap over, although I cant see a difference between the 07 rear rotor to the 08 rotor. The front 08 calipers and rotors are the same as the 05-07 and will swap in fine.

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I saw this a couple of days ago................don't know how accurate it is. From Edmunds inside line: At least the brakes are more than a match for the acceleration. The only major change to the Brembo system is a 0.3-inch increase in the diameter of the vented front and rear rotors, yet stopping distance improves significantly from the 115 feet we recorded on a 2006 STI to a remarkable 106 feet for this one. IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | thats kool but i don't want to turn it into a full blown race car so making it faster to stop is not that big a deal. I like the pic of houseof sufferings calipers 2 but i like how on the 08's they are black with STI lettering for more of a show car :-) |

Anyway, here are pics of the 07 and 08 calipers. As you can see the spacing on the mounting points is much farther apart on the 08 compared to the 07. Notice how the angle in the back on the 07 has a different shape going to the mounting points. Also notice the overall shape to the calipers. The 08 is a totally different caliper from the 07. ![]()

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | It is hard to tell from those pictures, but are the '08 rear calipers a monoblock design, or are they two piece like before? The '04-'07 rears clearly show the screws where they separate. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
