| S204 Racer | okay... so we've had a few threads about all the funny noises that our cars make. and now it's my turn to start a new one ![]() it seems to be coming from inside my (drivers) door, only after i turn the ignition to the "on" position, before starting the car. as if there was a fuel pump in the door priming (yes i know, silly analogy). but it sounds different. hard to describe. does anyone know what is in there that makes a "start up noise" when turning the ignition to "on" ? ![]() J. There is a startup hydraulic test that the car does every time you start the car, lasts about 12-15 seconds. You can hear it even more so if your hood is open. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
