PS: The OEM spec Dunlop Sp Sport600 will be available after 3/15/2008 for $195 each. I just got a quote from a local subaru dealership for $495 CAD each.

I have the eighteen-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels that come with the "BBS Package" on the 2008 STi. Does anyone know how much these wheels weigh? I can't seem to find that information anywhere.

If I remember correctly they are around 22 or 23 lbs each

Others who have weighed them have posted between 19.5 and 20.5 lbs.

Gee whiz. Doesn't anyone have a reasonably accurate scale? And why hasn't Subaru published this information?

With my 2006 Outback, the handling improved noticeably when I ditched the stock wheels and put Koseis on the car. Less unsprung weight and all of that.

Those aluminum alloy wheels plus the fog lights cost an extra 2,000. For that price you ought to get lighter wheels, particularly on an all-out performance car like the STi.

I tried the TireRack site but it wasn't much help...I'm trying to find out if a specific size wheel will fit the new '08 STI without modification?

Same wheel...different offsets:

Enkei NT03+m 18x9.5 +27 (2)
Enkei NT03+m 18x9.5 +40 (2)

Any help is appreciated...thanks!

EDIT: FYI they fit with no spacers needed.

did you try those offsets yet... I think the 27 offset may hit the strut.

Exactly what they say! Are the connectors for where you would put a pump to fill the tire with air rubber or metal?

Does tirerack showing a wheel as supported for your vehicle (assuming you wrap it with a tire suggested by tirerack) guarantee no rubbing?
