IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I am running a Cobb AP Stage 2 and got my 1st CEL today. Code P0244 / Turbocharger wastegate solenoid A Range/Performance is what the AP said. Cobb said it may be due to an overboost. Justin told me that I would not have to worry about that with the Cobb DP, and yes I am running the one with the cat. I'm looking for advice, should I put the stock DP back on, don't want to hurt the car. Cobb said do a pull in 4th from 2500 RPM and see if it does it again. It didn't sound so good when it did it the 1st time, I would hate to duplicate it again on purpose. I see that other people have had an issue with boost creep with this setup also. IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (9) | i have boost spike. not quite the same but its also a problem. Just do what he said and do the pull in 4th from 2500 rpms. If it spools then falls on its face then its time to either consider ewg setup or porting wastegate. Another posibility is that you could use the LWG map that comes with the accessport. It will lower the boost and hopefully at least help the situation. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (2) | So you ONLY have the AP Stage 2 and the Cobb catted DP? No air intake mods? No aftermarket cat-back or any other mod to your exhaust? Any other engine mods? If you only have the AP Stage 2 and the Cobb catted DP, I have the exact same setup you do although I'm on a different map since I live in Cali. Not to insult your intelligence, but confirm that you're on the right map. I can tell you that I have luckily not thrown any CELs despite doing 3d and 4th gear pulls to redline. The only other solution would be to get a Pro-tune? You would have the benefit of a safe tune AND unlocking some more power. As for others having boost creep, I'm not aware of any Stage 2 catted problems...if that indeed is the setup you're referring to. The only issue of boost creep with Stage 2 I've read about was when RallySportDirect ran a catless DP, if my memory serves me correct. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I reset the ECU and reflashed the ecu with the stage 2 93 octane. I hope this works. I would like to get a boost gage but where to put it is the question? Did you get one? Oh and I still don't know what the "Pill" is... |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I experienced this CEL just today but I'm on Cobb Stage 1 mapping and completely stock on the car. This CEL will clear after a couple of re-starts of the engine. The ECU still hold the code though. I did not do a rest of the ECU. Maybe it's trying to learn since I only did this reflash a couple of day ago. Punk This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
