Sorry, I'm confused. You have an ECUTek tune but are completely stock or did you mean that the only mod you have is an ECUTek tune?

Anyhow, you probably just spiked past the boost limit for your particular tune. Do you know what your tuner set the cut-off to?

I threw an overboost code three times today on a rainy track day in Colorado. I switched to "S" mode for the last two seesions just to get through the day and didn't have any further issues (other than crappy throttle response!)....

Looking forward to a fix myself!

might be in the tune that you have the same issue so i have to call Revolutions in CO about the tune, its will do it when you hit 4th gear, at about 5165 for the RPMs dont ask, it just does.. a buddy thats a subaru guru out here wanted to see when it does it so we hooked up the AP and bame 5165 cut out went into limp mode. but yeah its the tune get it looked at again.

Big thumbs up for Revolutions. Adam and the boys did a great job on my car!

Are people getting overboost (P0244) on the Perrin map or just the Cobb?

mine was with the Cobb S1 93 octane map...i switched to a Clark Turner map that i bought last night and absolutely love it....he made it for a daily driver with power all throughout the RPMs and it pulls all the way up to 6000+ (i shift at 6k)

Just got the PO244 for the first time today. I am running a Cobb Stage 2 map v1.01 with the latest firmware updates. I also have a Harman Motive full turboback exhaust. Should I get the Perrin tune? Happened as I was accelerating through 5th gear accelerating onto the highway.

just some more data:

I have had two overboost CELs in the last two days. They both occured under WOT while passing something slow in front of me. I was at about 5-6k rpm and 18+ boost. I was at about 7500ft elevation and it was maybe 40 deg F ambient. I had been driving hard up a canyon. I live in Boulder CO.

This is the first issue I have had with a Perrin map. The map is a OTS 93 oct 'high elevation' map Jeff made for me when I purchased the AP from Perrin. I am not sure what was done to make it 'high altitude'. I did have one overboost on a Cobb 93 oct OTS map. I have run the Perrin map 99% of the time I have had the car. I have about 4.8k miles on an otherwise stock 08 STi. All AP firmware is current. I have had the SOA 'remap' done on the stock ECU.

I will be moving to a real Stage 2 (TBE, up/downpipes,CAI, FMIC, etc. + protune) but would like to not have this issue until that happens....

help?

Have you downloaded the new 1.02 maps from Cobb? Might help. I'm running an XPT stage 1 open source map here in Denver, and have had absolutely no issues.
