Not quite. I flashed to Cobb's 91 octane Stage 1 map a couple of days ago and this afternoon I downshifted on the highway and tried to pass another car and threw a P0244 CEL. Car is bone stock except Cobb stage 1. Interestingly the CEL went out by itself after a couple of engine restarts but it's still in the ECU's log and shows up in the Accessport. I wonder if the ECU is just learning the Cobb map. I'm not going to reset the ECU to see if this appears again.

I guess the question is... did anyone who got the overboost CEL continue to get it? I only saw it once, right after reflashing - this after flashing maybe 20 times so far.

I cleared the code via the AP and reflashed again with the cobb 93 map (not sure why I did this, just wanted to make sure if loaded the map correctly I guess) and took it easy for a bit. I should also note that the new map felt quite slow - almost like stock. After driving a few more miles and not going wot it seems fine now (WOT several times and no CEL). I also noticed that if I drive for a few miles after reflashing, then shut the car off for a few seconds, then start up again, it immediately feels stronger. I loaded the cobb map and couldnt figure out why it didnt feel fast. After running for about 15 miles and turning the car off and on a couple times (with miles in between), it feels strong again (breakign traction in first gear is how I gauge whether or not I'm getting full power). I also want to point out that even when my car felt slow, it was indicating 18psi on the AP, but something was just not...right.

I am running a stock car (stage 1).

Not sure if this helps anyone, but just sharing some nuiances I've noticed.

That's because AVCS is off after an ECU reflash until you restart the car again. In my 06 I'd always drive it far enough to warm the car up, then pull over and turn it off before I did any logging of a new ECU map. (I was using Enginuity and ECUFlash)

So like... this cel problem is fixed? or people are just resetting the ecu whenever it happens?

It only happened to me once, after flashing. It was the only cel I ever got and its been fine in the last 1.5K miles.

UPDATE: Yesterday, threw the overboost CEL yesterday as I floored it going uphill on the 405 (near Mullholand) in 6th. Prolly should have downshifted when I got on it but still, caught me off guard. I've had the AP since about 500 miles and went stage 2 at around 800 miles...I'm now at 4500 miles. Oh well, lesson learned. Don't gun it going uphill in 6th...I'm hoping 5th won't be an issue. This after I went into Harman Motive for a Pro-Tune and was told that I'm running very safe and getting pro-tune levels.

AP to the rescue, read and cleared the code this morning.

i'm betting others will tell you not to run intake/exhaust mods without some sort of tune/engine management. it can cost you a lot if you blow something up.

i threw the code again yesterday on the cobb 93 map in 4th gear.. switched back to the perrin map.. no problems with the perrin map.. . I was told a larger restrictor pill in the vacuum line off the turbo before the T can fix this.

I would think a Stage 2 map with a Cobb catted DP would be the safest route to go since the map was made with only the DP since there was not Cobb TB available then...or now. Also, I had my tune verified by Harman Motive and was told that I would not benefit from a Pro-Tune since Cobb's OTS Stage 2 ACN map was running at Pro-Tune levels.

I just pulled this code like 20min ago...strange thing was that my [S] light and cruise light started blinkng...I was locked out of S# and my VDC off indicator came on in addition to the CEL. It was on an open road slight incline and maybe ~75 degrees today. I was running through the gears pretty quick...I hit 70 in third and it felt like I hit an invisible wall...if I weren't wearing a seatbelt I am sure I would've planted my head in the windshield. Then I got all the lights and I was like wtf...so after getting home (by then all lights were out because I had to stop somewhere and cycled the ignintion a few times) I pulled the code and had the P0244...wtf. All I have is APv2 stage 1 (93 oct).

Basically my question is: Have the other people getting the P0244 code experienced the flashing cruise/[S] lights and VDC off indicator?

It appears that some of the '08s are very close to the fuel cut boost-limit already. I hit 19psi doing a 4th gear pull. I imagine that if I tried hard enough, I could probably hit fuel cut in 5th or 6th. I wonder if Cobb would consider upping the fuel-cut safety to 20psi?

I have thrown few P0244 on Cobb 93 map. Now I am having second thoughts about going stage 2 with Cobb stg 2 93 map. I am looking forward to those hooking up with new HM CBE if they will be getting Po244 as well.
