IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | You might consider to purchase the Cobb AP from Perrin Performance. It is $699 from pretty much everyone. However, the Perrin guys will include one of their tunes (you choose Octane) at no charge. I called them to veify this is truly a superset - you get the Cobb maps AND a Perrin map. I spoke to Jeff there. He's real knowledgeable and a great guy to talk to. (I have no affiliation to Perrin but I'm also ready to buy the AP from them.) |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | this thread is very informative and helped me make the decision to buy an AP from Perrin instead of from another vendor. this is mainly because i can use both Perrin's maps and Cobb's maps to pick which one is more to my liking.... now if i could just get the dam break in miles faster. |

Especially if you're planning to baby it for the rest of the break in period anyway. The 1000 mile break-in is excessive. Your car is dynoed minutes after it's put together anyway. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Did anyone have issues with the perrin map? I couldnt get full boost with it and the car ran badly. I reflashed, etc and troubleshooted for a while. |

| Amateur STI Driver | I wouldn't say my car ran poorly with the Perrin map(93 Oct), but the Cobb map(91 Oct) does seem to feel better(faster) and it runs less boost. Ive reloaded the Perrin map several times and always go back to the Cobb 91 Oct map. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
