IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | It depends a lot on the tire size (265, 275). But even at 265 with that offset, I would say at least a fender roll . Ask the experts, th3 clap and caveguru can really help you out . BTW, caveguru, what offset are you using |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | TR Motorsports MT1's in 18x9.5 +45. Pretty ideal. ~and~ Enkei RC-T4 in 18x9 +35. Not ideal, unless you want flush and/or 255 or smaller tires. I was restricted to 255's anyway, so this got me maximum track for that tire. Oh, and I'm not an expert, just 5 minutes ahead on the curve. Don't worry, it won't last long. Frank |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Thanks again. BTW, there is a vendor who says he can special order the Advan RS in 18x9.5 for me, at a small premium, How About That . |

You looking at the J-Force 07? J-Force 05 comes in +45 and that's a pretty attractive wheel. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Does anyone know why the 17-inch wheels available for the 2008 JDM Sti (available through Subaru in Japan) are not recommended if you have VDC? Is it because they are different sizes front and back? I can't find an explanation for this anywhere, and Subaru of Canada sells 17-inch wheels also. Am I going to mess up something if I put 17's on for Winter? |

| Lurker | I've been reading this thread for a while and have learned a ton. Many options seem to require rolling the fenders or camber plates. Anyone have advice for a track only wheel setup with stock suspension and no additional modifications. I'm thinking TR MT1s 18x (8.5 or 9.5?) what size tire could i run with the 8.5? what about the 9.5? thanks in advance. Also is anyone running stock STI 05-07 BBS 17s at the track... what tire size would you use? Will this get performance near an 18inch setup? |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2005 Trader Rating: (9) | with the stock 05-07 BBS 17s you would want to run a 245/45R17 to keep about the same overall diameter. 255/40R17 and 275/35R17 would also be close to the same diameter. Tire size calculator can help you play with tire size options. A lot of people seem to be running the TR MT-1s in 18x9.5 with a 245/40R18 and it looks to be a nice setup. I plan to order a set of those w/ the Dunlop Star Specs for next season's autox. (limited to 245 wide in STU) |

| Lurker | Couldn't you run 245/40R18 on the 18x8.5 MT-1s and save weight over the 18x9.5s? what width could you run on the 18x9.5 version without rolling fenders? |
