Question 18" Ssr Gt2

I was wondering if anyone knew for certain whether or not 18x8.5 SSR GT2 wheels would fit the 2008 STI? I happened to own a 2005 STi and have a set of SSRs sitting around that I'd like to mount all-seasons/winter tires to for the colder months here in VA.

I test fitted them and the caliper clears and there is plenty of space around the wheel wells. I'm just not sure if there's another factor I should be looking at to determine if these wheels are safe for the 2008 STI.

Thanks!

If they are 18x8.5 5x114 +48 you will be fine.

hi, just 2 quick questions.

question #1

would these fit stock 08 sti with stock rubber?

Wheel Style - Rota SVN
Wheel Diameter (Inches) - 18"
Wheel Width (Inches) - 8.5"
PCD Bolt Pattern - 5x114.3
Offset - 48mm
Hub Bore - 56.1mm
Color - Tommy Gold

link to the website with this wheel: 18x8.5 Rota SVN - Tommy Gold(5x114.3/e48/56.1) Wheeldude.com - Professional wheel dealer. #1 Rota Dealer.

i am planning on using these for summer and leave stock 5 spokes for
winter.

Question #2

would i be able to fit a winter tire sized 18" 225mm on stock 5 spoke wheel? or is it too thin for that wheel? or can i go thinner with that wheel? it snows a lot here and i don't want wide tires for winter.

question #2 might have been a little of topic but this is my 1st post and i hope you'll all forgive me.

thanks in advance

luke.

Answer #1: not sure if the bore is right without looking it up, but if that's the '05-07 sti bore, then yes, you're fine.

Answer #2: Check the specs on the tire at tirerack.com or the manufacturer's website. There should be a rim width range. If you're in that range, you'll be fine. factory 08 rims are 8.5", so you should be ok with most 225's, but you should check for your specific tire preference. If you're outside that range, it may still work, but you'll be taking a chance and at least be giving up some contact patch and even tire wear.

I can´t find Advan´s RS or RC III in 18x9.5 anywhere. Do they make this size? if not, Is there anyway to make a 18x10 fit without any fender roll?

Sure you can make it fit if you can find it in a +40 offset and stretch a 245-width tire on it What are you trying to accomplish?

Like I stated, I can´t find the Advan´s in 9.5 with our bolt pattern and I think that going to 9 inches is too small of a difference from the stock 8.5 in.

ok, but what width tires do you want to mount on it? I mean, if you're not mounting wider tires, there's little point in getting a wider rim. If you are mounting wider tires, how wide do you want. Whether you need to roll your fenders or not will depend entirely on this.

It looks like the RS is available in an 18x10 +35. With rear fender rolling and some camber, you'll be able to have some fun with that wheel.
