Default bcracing coilovers update after winter

They look amazing. I'm going to a buddys house in about an hour. Im a newbie on intalling coilovers. give me a head up, front or rear first to get a feel for it? Torque specs on bolts? do i just take the coilover out of the box and replace it with the old one?
Hook me up with some have to know stuff. thanks

Careful with the strut top bolts. They are 14.5lbs (IIRC????). When doing a suspension these are the most messed up thing.

Also, when you drop the stock struts have someone hold them so they don't fall and tear up the axle boot below.

Be sure to get your car corner balanced and aligned after they are installed

did the install, couldnt really push it since my front camber looks about +1deg and my rr looks about -3. I dont know why my rr looks like that, i dont even have rear camber plates. any ideas? I'm going tomarrow morning to get an alignment. corner balanced? think belle tire is a good place for alignment?

oh and right now i am running 14 in the front and 13 in the rear. To raise the ride height in the rear do i need to play with the top 2 rings or can i just loosen the bottom ring and turn the strut. oh and what are the top 2 rings for? do I NEED to play with them?

Corner balance needs to be done. You have to go to somewhere that have the floor weights they can drop you car and and get the same numbers around the car. I don't know where you can go up there. I have all my work done at TopSpeed in GA. Goodluck.

You don't need to touch the top ring, that is for your preload. Here are some quick tips for height adjustment.

Some things to make it easy for adjustment.

- Unlock the lower locking ring so the it is just loose around the lower colar
- Then use the bottom ring on the upper part with the small wrench to turn the coilover
- Turning the coilover counter clockwise raises it
- Turning the coilover clockwise lowers it
- Turn the coilover till you see about the amount you want to adjust it by (ie. .5, 1", 1.5") between the lower colar and the lower locking ring.
- Spin the lower locking ring down and tighten.

Put wheel back on and let off jack, then measure form the center of the hub to the fender and see where you are at heightwise.

Oh man, that's not good. How hard did you crank them down to tighten them. I just did mine snug and then a little turn for good measure and mine freed right up.

I would say but the little wrench on the bottom..one just pull really hard. is there anyway to get a braker bar on the end of the wrench.

yes, use some penetrating liquid on them like liquid wrench and let it sit for 10 minutes or so to loosen it up. in the future, put anti-seize on the threads
