Default BC Racing coilover update 4-07-08 15K mi. pg5

I got my BC racing BR type coilovers today from Import Image. These guys are awsome, fast shipping and super price.

I went a little different route then some others. I opted for the rear camber plates rather then dealing with bolts. If I am going to be changing ride height during the winter and then summer I didn't want to have to deal with the rear camber bolts possible rusting on me or giving me problems. I also opted for the rear extenders so I don't have to remove the rear seat to change the dampening. Well here are the pics

I will be sure to report on how they ride as soon as I get a chance to get them on. Should be in the next couple weeks. It's my understanding they the come already preloaded so all I have to do is put them on. Coilovers are new to me, so this should be interesting. Any suggestions on the optimal height. I think some guys are like 13.5 front and 14.0 rear is that correct. How much drop will that give me over stock. I don't need to slam my car, I am doing this because the stockers finally gave out at 86K. I know the ride will be harder for daily driving but that doesn't bother me.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Nicely packaged (the box says 06+ and the sticker on the coilover says 05- WRX GDF. So hope they are the right ones)

Have the other top too just incase wanna switch ever

They look good man. I have been considering buying those but I'm on the fence about how they will work on a daily driven car on crappy NY roads. Looking forward to an update when they are on.

Looks good. Seems like these are the hot item these days. Can't wait to get another impression of them once you complete the install.

Yup. I've got mine set to 5 out of 30 (from softest) front and rear and due to the increased strut travel, they ride over the roads here much better than the factory struts. I'm still on the RE070s too, so I'm very curious to see how nice the ride will be once I switch over to all-seasons for winter.

The roads in PA around here are worse than any I've encountered in New York, FWIW.

I highly recommend these for an entry-level coilover for someone who sees mainly street driving, but I will be selling mine in the future for the TiC AST coilover setup with Vorshlag plates because you simply can't get enough strut travel for the streets around here. Plus, the valving is sure to be light years better, even though I'm still using my BCs without any complaint.

Sounds like I might know what my next mod is. Time to start saving.

I still would like to ride in a car that has them first.

They work great. I stiffened them up to full hard on a bumpy track. Had to turn them down 3 clicks in rear, 5 clicks in the front. Won my BSP class after doing so.
